VR Meetup 2017

Earlier this year we were invited to present at the RTVR Developer Meetup at Hackney House. This was alongside our collaborators and all round good pals, Bandits Collective. The event not only attracted die-hard techies, but producers, users and developers all with differing experience.

We were there with our latest endeavour into the big bad world of VR, ‘Les Petites Choses’. The film is still very much in its infancy, which is why attending events such as these are so crucial for its ongoing development.

Due to the narrative focus of the film, in a crowd of holographic conferencing, educational star-domes and virtual instruments, Les Petites Choses stood out a mile.

While the hype around VR is gaining more and more traction, narrative led VR is still an area that remains somewhat underdeveloped when compared to advertising and ‘experience’ based projects. So obviously we jumped at the chance to stretch our creative muscles and send our passion for creative storytelling soaring into the virtual world.

Rendered in dazzling impressionistic style, Les Petites Choses follows a mischievous boy called Louis. Told from multiple viewpoints, our film will allow you to shift between invisible third-person, God-like omniscience and the dreamy synesthetic perceptions of little Louis.

We were very proud to demo work that we have been obsessing over behind the scenes, and to get such positive feedback was marvellous.

We'll also be showing an updated version of the film at Fantoche Festival in September - so if you want to know more, you’ll have to meet us there! If you can’t make the trip, stay in the loop by keeping a keen eye on our Instagram page.
