Our first enterprise with the titans of tequila was a funky GIF to celebrate Piñata Day. With so much of it being frame-by-frame animation, the work is a testimony of the emotive power of traditional 2D animation. Jose Cuervo has since commissioned two more projects as part of ongoing collaboration. Tequila Day was an especially fun brief. We worked in real time, shouting out to fans of the brand for reasons why they love Tequila, while we animated some of the finest answers. Over the space of a week the studio turned each chosen answer into a wonderful, compact little shot of tequila heaven (pass the lemon and salt).
This field of snappy, social heavy and bespoke work is an increasingly effective way of marketers reaching huge audiences. At PICNIC we applaud this trend, as it means we can get involved in creative territory that thrives on a hot-off-the-press attitude / philosophy.
